A Holiday Wish

During this time of year, when families and friends are coming together to rejoice for the Holidays, we also want to remember that many Americans, some of them children, who are not included in the American Dream. The marginalized poor have no home to illuminate, no tree to decorate and no table to set with a Holiday Feast.

Somehow we have to spread cheer to them, one kindness at a time, one person to another at a time, not just during the Holidays, but throughout the year, until we bridge the gap and they can fulfill their true potential.

I feel blessed to be working with such a great team of Artists. They are people who genuinely care about the the less fortunate and are aware of their day to day struggles to survive and become whole. I sincerely wish that all of us can be part of this process, to help one another with Love & Kindness

Happy Holidays from all of us at Blues Pros Talent

Blues Pros Talent welcomes "Markey Blue" Blues, R&B, and Soul roots band to the National Talent roster for 2015

★ Nominated for Best Blues Artist in the 2013 NIMA Awards. Bandleaders Markey and Ric Latina weave elements of timeless blues, soul and R&B with hook-smart pop-songwriting, cool grooves and fire-breathing performance!  Together, with the help of an A-list cast of 'Music City' Nashville studio and stage musicians, Markey Blue has crafted a dozen songs that feature Jack Pearson, the former Allman Brothers guitarist, and esteemed producer Steve Cropper on the New CD Release "Hey Hey"  It scored #1 on the Blues Debut Chart and hit the ground running on the Roots Music Review Chart. At least five of the tracks have been broadcast on satellite radio in the United States, indicating its variety and depth. A Nashville news channel has used some of the songs for “bump music,” which is played to leads in and out of stories. Randy Chortkoff and Delta Groove Records is marketing the record, which appears on the Soul Sound Label. Grammy-award winning songwriter and legendary Stax Records songwriter, artist and producer Steve Cropper had a hand in assisting with vocal production of the closing track.  He offers this ringing endorsement: “What do you get when you have a great singer, a great band and great songs? You get a great project. Markey definitely has the chops for this powerful album: Strong melodies, strong lyrics and a strong performance – what a concept!”

Markey is quickly becoming known as a rising talent in the roots music world — performing with, Taj Mahal, Candye Kane, Walter Trout, Delbert McClinton, Anson Funderburgh, and Bobby “Blue” Bland — before joining with Ric Latina to form Markey Blue.   Latina has a longstanding reputation as an inspired studio and stage guitarist, and as a songwriter and studio craftsman. Besides his session credits, his extensive touring history includes roadwork with Waylon Jennings, Hank Williams III, Collin Raye, Suzy Bogguss, Billy Dean, John Berry, Vern Gosdin, Kirk Whalum, Sherrié Austin, Gary Puckett and Rhonda Vincent.

BluesPros welcomes Southern Hospitality!

BluesPros is proud to announce we will be handling all bookings for Southern Hospitality

The South has long been known for hospitality and down home music. Recently the region has seen the emergence of a musical group of young musicians who are masters of their craft and embody the soul and spirit of Dixie.

The Band creating all the buzz, called Southern Hospitality, is comprised of lap steel guitar master Damon Fowler, guitarist extraordinaire J.P. Soars, and 2013 Blues Music Award Winner for Pine Top Perkins Piano Player of the Year Victor Wainwright.

The three artists are musician’s musicians, each bringing a unique style and fresh translation of the great Southern soul, blues, and rock music that came before them. Together, their mutual chemistry, high energy and skill sets create a cohesive vision, with echoes of Muscle Shoals and Macon, that organically flows together into an entirely original and dynamic form of Americana, Southern soul roots music with a modern sensibility.
